his overall appearance is that she has a thick, soft gray coat that's short-furred. she has mottled dark gray spots throughout her pale and a pale gray underbelly. she was build with a more delicate frame, having a slender appearance without much muscle. her eyes are wide a dark river-blue. her tail and legs are about average length, although they lean towards the longer side.




he likes green-leaf nights, warm days, neatly kept nests, tidiness, good manners, the scent of herbs, stargazing, rainstorms, moonhigh, halfmoon, and lavenders

his overall personality is that he is a moody tom that prefers to be on his own most of the time. he has an intense phobia of battle and mistrust of any non-clan cat, caused from being attacked and tortured once by a group of rouges. he doesn't like extreme weather much, although he finds rainstorms rather soothing as long as theirs no thunder. he doesn't like kits because of their immaturity and tendency to be messy. he's very tidy and likes to clean up everything, which is somewhat off because of his constantly matted pelt. despite the fact the he isn't the most polite cat himself, he prefers it when other's have good manners, and often ridicules them when they don't. he likes to stay up late and watch the stars.

Kithood: batkit was born to ruefall and yarrowclaw with one litter mate: rowankit. before he was born yarrowclaw gave his life in a battle to protect his mate. when the two were born, ruefall openly displayed favoritism toward her daughter rowankit; who resembled yarrowclaw. because of this batkit spent a lot of time with the other current queen, aspenfang. she became almost like a second mother to him, although he wasn't fond of being around her kits very much, since they were always playing with rowankit and that meant they were near ruefall. 
Warrior Apprenticeship: batpaw was first apprenticed to the warrior spiderfoot, who he got along with fairly well. after some time the older tom started to become a sort of fatherly-figure for him; treating him more like a son than an apprentice. during his apprenticeship he often spent time training alongside mothpaw, once of aspenfang's kits, and his mentor laurelheart. the two became fast friends, surprisingly, despite mothpaw's somewhat ditzy nature-- a trial that batpaw would usually find annoying but was somewhat charming on the kind apprentice. when the two were little over halfway through their apprenticeship batpaw was sent on a morning patrol with a few other cats; the only one he was acquainted with on the patrol was his sister, rowan paw. it started out fairly normally, yet when the reached the second border the group was ambushed by a large group of rouge cats. batpaw fought back to the best of his abilities, but was easily overpowered by the more experienced rouges. they left him with various scars of different legs and widths, all extremely painful. unlike the other members of the patrol, he was left alive and founded by another valleyclan patrol that had been sent out when batpaw's patrol didn't return on schedule. after that, batpaw spent a few days in the medicine den before he could even receive visitors. the only one who had come to see his was his mother, who only stopped by to yell at batpaw for not saving his sister. deerskip, the medicine cat, lashed out at ruefall for saying this, and banished her from visiting batpaw. when he was finally allowed to have visitors mothpaw and spiderfoot came by a lot to check up on him. he wasn't really close to many other cat's.
Medicine Cat Apprenticeship: it didn't surprise batpaw when deerskip told him he would be unable to finish his warrior training. a particularly deep scar in his left shoulder that had suffered from a bad infection would reopen anytime he exerted a lot of stress on it; she informed him that it would never properly heal right. spiderfoot understood this as well, although mothpaw was disappointed he wouldn't get to become a warrior with his best friend. instead, deerskip offered to train batpaw as a medicine cat-- there were no current kits in the nursery and deerskip was getting older and needed to start training an apprentice soon anyway, plus batpaw had already memorized a good amount of herbs from his moons of helping out in the medicine den while he recovered. right around the time he was accepted as a medicine cat apprentice mothpaw earned his warrior name, mothfang. batpaw attended his warrior ceremony, selfishly wishing he was beside the tom, who had started to have feeling for not long into their friendship; not that he would ever admit this to anyone. it was moons after this ceremony that batpaw earned his medicine cat name: batwing. the night he returned with his new name mothfang congratulated him, and the two stargazed together that night in a silent vigil like the one batwing would have had if it he had received his warrior name. batwing's medicine cat duties had distanced himself slightly from mothfang, but the two still remained close friends.
Medicine Cat Life: deerskip died of a bad case of green-cough about a season after batwing received his medicine cat name. after that, he became the sole medicine cat of valleyclan.
